Join Gabriel Caruana Foundation in celebrating The Mill on June 21st and 22nd

Join Gabriel Caruana Foundation in celebrating The Mill and be part of their caringly curated activities on the 21 and 22 June. Let’s connect and nurture through art!
2024 marks a special milestone for The Mill. Back in 1724, Il-Mitħna tal-Maħlut was founded - the flour it ground feeding Malta’s growing population. It served as a home and space of shelter; a historic landmark, anchored, surrounded by seas of change. 300 years on, now known as The Mill - Art, Culture and Crafts Centre, it is still feeding the imagination, hope and creativity pulsating beyond the busy Birkirkara streets where it is found. Founded in 1990 by Gabriel Caruana, it is now home of the Gabriel Caruana Foundation. Countless characters have passed through its doors; many leaving their mark in one way or another. Mawra sal-Mitħna is a celebration of legacy, imagination and collective action. The coming together of people, ideas and an enthusiasm for positive change.

On the 21st of June at 17:00 you are invited for the launch of the Mawra Sal-Mitħna celebrations and the launch of our Community Engagement Strategy, Bringing People Together! We will also showcase our projects Layers of Being and Il-Ktieb Tal-Istaġuni.

On the 22 June from 10:00 to 19:00, there will be a series of workshops including walking workshops, co-design of public spaces, collective tapestry, community bunting with a twist - and board games for all ages.
