Content:

Purpose and expected outcomes

  • Introduce fundraising sources and best practices (excluding crowdfunding).
  • Use a practice study to help VOs apply basic fundraising principles and design a fictitious campaign
  • Clear understanding of fundraising sources and relevance.
  • Actionable knowledge of basic fundraising principles.
  • Practical experience in campaign design.

Objectives

1. Fundraising Sources
Overview of grants, corporate sponsorships, individual giving, and community events.
Pros, cons, and suitability for different organisations.

2. Best Practices
Effective strategies, donor engagement, ethical fundraising.
Importance of storytelling and showing impact.

3. Practice Study
Apply principles through a hands-on project.
Develop a fictional fundraising campaign aligned with mission and goals.

Deadline to submit your registration is Thursday 8th May 2025 – noon.

Each voluntary organisation may apply for a maximum of 2 volunteers, nonetheless each participant is to submit their individual registration form with their personal details. This training session will have an intake of a maximum of 40 participants, hence we encourage VOs to submit their application as soon as possible to secure their spot.
