The Wave of Change campaign aims at encouraging behavioural positive change by raising awareness on the impact of daily decisions and inspiring more sustainable choices.

The Wave of Change's campaign was born to raise awareness about various problems such as pollution, obesity and inclusion through events, campaigns and sports challenges.

The campaign aims at encouraging behavioural positive change by raising awareness on the impact of daily decisions and inspiring choices that are driven by sustainability and compassion.

For 2023, Wave of Change is launching a new campaign that coincides with Neil Agius’ next huge swimming feat. Following his footsteps, everyone is encouraged to take on a new challenge to make more sustainable lifestyle choices every day.

The Wave of Change legacy sees people taking action to protect our beautiful Maltese Islands and our Sea. This change will happen following three pillars carefully selected to make an impact: eat for change, live for change and dress for change.

Through these three principles, people will be encouraged to:

  • move away from ‘fast fashion’ and make more sustainable fashion choice;
  • diversify your diet towards healthier, cheaper and more planet-friendly choices;
  • make small changes to everyday household habits to use less water and help protect our sea.

How can you take part in the campaign? Each person, company or organisation will challenge themselves to commit to one of the three pillars and make a change to their lifestyle. All those who will choose to participate are encouraged to document their challenge on the Change for Change Pledge Platform and share it on their socials using the hashtag #waveofchange

The Academy wishes to encourage companies and organisations to bring their staff together to take on a challenge and Change for Change!
