Friends of Villa Frere
Friends of Villa Frere aims at conserving what is left of Villa Frere and its gardens in Pietà. The volunteers work to maintain the gardens, tending to horticulture, conserve and restore the architecture, research its history, protect the Grade A site from planning applications around it and promote its rich social heritage.
Villa Frere survives today as a unique example of a Neoclassical English landscape garden in Malta. Friends of Villa Frere strive to preserve this Grade 1 National Heritage Monument, promoting its rich historic and cultural significance, while protecting and restoring the iconic building and its gardens for current and future generations to enjoy.
