Project Aegle Foundation

Project  Aegle Foundation (PAF) is a non-profit organization that advocates for sustainable mobility and coordinates the EIT Urban Mobility Hub Malta. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life in Malta by promoting active mobility and multi-modal transportation options that address environmental, social, and health concerns resulting from the prevailing traffic culture.

Strategic objective:

Malta’s collective use of public spaces is improved, ensuring accessible and sustainable multimodal mobility.

They see mobility as an important aspect to sustainability in general, as there have been important developments with impact on urban mobility, such as the growing importance of cities, disruptive changes in transport and mobility of both technological and societal nature, as well as rising mobility (congestion), health (air pollution) and climate (emissions) challenges.
