Improving the quality of life of all animals in Malta
RAR – Real Animal Rights Foundation’s mission is to improve the quality of life of all animals in Malta which in turn improves the life of pet parents and animal lovers in general.
RAR is different because it does not own a rescue shelter or sanctuary; instead they try to improve the quality of life of all animals in Malta by helping licensed sanctuaries with funds, by raising public awareness, educating the general public, fostering and homing abandoned animals, neutering stray cats, reporting abuse, supporting individual feeders and rescuers, and by advising and lobbying local authorities on all animal-related matters.
There are multiple ways in which you can support RAR. Find out more here.
RAR was also a Changemakers semi-finalist where they pitched their initiative There Are No Bad Dogs. The main objective of this initiative is to make every dog as adoptable as possible by ironing out any social and behavioural issues the dog may have. The Real Animal Rights Foundation believe that with the right attention from professional behaviourists, ‘unsociable’ dogs can be trained to become more sociable and more adoptable.
