The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation
The Foundation's mission is Justice, Journalism and Memory. It works to support media freedom and engages in public interest litigation through the Public Interest Litigation Network (PILN).
The Foundation was set up to ensure full justice for Daphne's assassination, to protect her work, to protect investigative journalists, to promote a culture of public interest litigation, and to support independent media. Through the PILN the Foundation played a crucial role in facilitating the public inquiry into Jean Paul Sofia's death, and providing access to justice for many other individuals and families.
Support needed
Financial
Financial support for the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation
The PILN (a network of lawyers set up by the Foundation) has been instrumental in obtaining justice for a number of victims and families which may have otherwise been unable to access and/or successfully navigate the Maltese judicial system. Closed and ongoing cases can be viewed here https://www.piln.mt/ .
The Foundation is in need of funding to continue to administer the PILN, support lawyers to take on new cases, pay court fees, carry out research into public interest litigation cases, and continue to provide support to victims of social injustice and their families.
If you're able to provide support, please contact Lynne.
