Melanie Vella

Melanie Vella is a Sustainability and ESG solutionist, helping organisations to achieve their sustainability ambitions. Through her work, Melanie builds bridges between purpose-driven businesses and grassroots projects who are making good things happen. With a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainability, communications, and social & environmental impact, Melanie assists companies and NGOs in aligning their overall goals with their purpose. She has crafted and implemented high-impact sustainability programs for notable entities such as Unilever and Wave of Change Malta. She’s been involved in running hyper-local programmes to multinational campaigns and high-impact sustainability programs for notable entities such as Unilever and Wave of Change Malta.

After graduating from Doctor of Laws in Malta, Melanie worked in India and Nepal setting up women’s empowerment social businesses. In London, she worked on the implementation of corporate sustainability programmes. Now back in Malta, Melanie is focused on implementing ESG and Sustainability solutions for organisations through her activation agency Tides Rising. She is co-founder of community action platform, Kurzita Collective. And the Digital Strategy and Campaigns manager for Wave of Change Malta, while continuing to advise UK based organisation, Ocean Generation.
